Register as a Borong Vendor in Three Steps
Getting started as a Borong vendor is straightforward. Registration is done entirely online at market.borong.com/seller/registration. There are three steps: your business profile, your bank details, and confirmation. Once approved, your store is live on the Borong Marketplace and visible to enterprise buyers, procurement teams, and institutional purchasers across Malaysia.
Step 1: Business Profile
The first step covers your business and account details. You will need:
- Business name
- Business Identification Number (SSM registration number)
- Industry category (Food and Beverage, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Retail, Technology, Wholesale, Government, and more)
- Your store URL on the Borong platform (custom domains available on selected plans)
- Full business address including postcode, city, and state
- Management account name, email address, and WhatsApp number
- Account password
- Company Registration document (SSM Form 9 or Form 13, in PNG, JPG, or PDF, maximum 5MB)
The industry selector covers the major categories of B2B commerce in Malaysia. Choose the category that best fits your primary business activity. If your business spans multiple categories, select your primary one at registration and contact our team to discuss how to represent your full offering once you are live.
Your store URL is how buyers will find and reference your Borong storefront. Choose something that clearly reflects your business name. Standard registration includes a borong.com subdomain; upgraded plans support custom domains.
Step 2: Bank Details
The second step collects your bank account information for payment processing. You will select your bank from a comprehensive list of Malaysian financial institutions and provide your account number. This is the account that will receive payments from orders processed through the platform. Borong supports all major Malaysian banks including Maybank, CIMB, Public Bank, RHB, Hong Leong, AmBank, Alliance Bank, and Bank Islam.
Before submitting, you will review and agree to the Seller's Partnership Agreement, Terms and Conditions, and Privacy Notice. These documents govern your obligations as a Borong vendor and the commercial terms of the platform relationship. They are available to read in full at market.borong.com before you begin your registration.
Step 3: Confirmation and Go-Live
Once you submit your registration, the Borong team reviews your application and uploaded documentation. We verify your SSM registration and confirm your business details. When approved, your seller account is activated and your store is live on the Borong Marketplace.
At this point you can begin building your product catalogue through the seller dashboard. Add products, set pricing, configure delivery options, and organise your listings by category. The more complete and well-structured your catalogue at launch, the more visible your store will be to buyers actively sourcing in your categories.
What You Get as a Borong Vendor
Your own Borong storefront with a dedicated URL accessible to the full Borong buyer network. A seller dashboard for managing your product listings, orders, and store performance. Access to enterprise buyers, GLCs, government procurement teams, and businesses across Malaysia that use Borong as their primary or secondary sourcing channel. The ability to process B2B orders through a structured, governed procurement workflow with clear purchase documentation and defined payment terms. And, for eligible businesses, the option to extend your reach through Salaam Market for halal-certified product ranges.
Borong is a neutral marketplace. We do not buy or resell products. When a buyer purchases from your store, the transaction is between you and the buyer. The platform provides the infrastructure, the verified credential, and the buyer network. Your pricing, your product quality, and your service delivery determine your performance.
